Notes on Learning in Public
A digital garden isn't a blog with worse deadlines — it's a different contract with the reader.
I used to hoard half-written drafts until they were “ready”. They never were. The garden fixed that by changing the promise: these are notes being tended, not posts being published.
Seedling, budding, evergreen
Every note wears its maturity openly. A seedling is a rough capture; a budding note has a shape; an evergreen one I’d stake my name on.
The unlock
Labelling maturity lets me publish at 30% done without lying to you about it. The dot is the disclaimer.
Friendly to agents, too
Each note ships a Copy as Markdown button and an llms.txt index, because half my
readers now arrive through a model. Writing for both audiences keeps the prose honest
and concrete.
